Project Overview

This was my first freestyle FPV drone. The goal was to learn hands-on with a simple, mostly standard build before moving to larger, autonomous platforms.

Frame & Structure

STEELE 5 220mm Wheelbase, 5mm Arm Thickness Carbon Fiber X-Type 5-Inch Frame Kit. Minor modifications include a few drilled holes for screws and custom 3D-printed brackets.

Motors & Propellers

Motors: Velocity V2207.5/V2 2550kV.
Props: HQ Freestyle 5x4.3x3 3-blade polycarbonate (2 CW, 2 CCW).

Electronics & Power

Battery: 4S 1500mAh 100C.
Flight Controller: F405 Mamba V2, running Betaflight.
ESC & Receiver: Standard DShot600 with Flysky receiver system.
Lighting: Speedybee 2812 LEDS powered from flight controller but controlled by arduino nano

Flight Performance

Flown many times. Standard FPV drone setup for freestyle, TPU GoPro mount design in progress.
